Slim design but raised in the middle
I agree with the other reviews on this crib - it is not easy nor fast to assemble. The legs were near impossible to slide over the button tabs. This was in fact the longest part of the assembly. Additionally, securing the mattress to the bed was a huge challenge and I was actually not able to fully do so. You have to take these tiny tabs and slide them between these tiny u-shaped things. They were so tiny that I just couldn't get them to fit. They really shouldn't advertise this crib as being "rapid assembly". However I knew that when I bought it and decided that it's weight and compactness were more important than ease of assembly. When packed into its duffle bag it will easily fit into a larger suit case or fit into the overhead compartment. Beyond it being difficult and time consuming to put together, the only other complaint I have is that the middle of the bed rises off the floor even with the mattress added. Love the Size, not putting it together
I am so far impressed with the New Phil & Ted's Traveller Crib. I can't believe how small it packs. A huge plus when traveling around and to and from Europe to the US. That being said... I am very disappointed in how difficult it was to put together. I was not expecting so many steps. I can't imagine this being a quick up and down ever. It took over 10 minutes to put it together the first time. I had a very difficult time getting the legs to go over the locking button. I had to press so hard and kept pinching myself that my thumbs and fingers were red and purple. I will say one leg was much more difficult than the rest. This is what took so long to put it together and to get apart. I am doubting the ease of use when I really need it and need to be done with it. I can't imagine having to take my little guy out to transfer to a car when leaving somewhere and having to take this apart... I have now ordered a different travel crib to see the difference in size and ease of use...
Does not come with mesh top
DID NOT COME WITH THE MESH TOP PICTURED. The box says the top is sold separately, though it was clearly shown in the images when I bought the product and the description references "all around mesh."
We're traveling to a tropical climate where mosquitos and dengue fever are present, so needed a completely closed crib. Frustrating, as the prior version of this crib a) comes with the top and b) is significantly cheaper. Looking to customer service to resolve.
